Time Period: At the end of volume 8, where Bearded Ina trapped Mingchao in his store’s basement to turn her and the Eto Gun over to Cavanaugh and The Syndicate.
Brief Synopsis: In this yarn set in the Wild West, Mingchao started off as a young, recently orphaned chicken salesgirl with dreams of making it big in Hollywood. She decided to travel around with Baskerville, who claimed to be a missionary priest, hoping to find Hollywood along the way, taking only whatever she had on her person, her deceased grandfather’s wok, and the curious-looking Eto Gun. About ten years ago, Mingchao’s grandfather crafted the gun with ancient Chinese arts and imbued it with the powers of the Chinese Zodiac animals. The Eto Gun proved to be a gravitating force towards her, as all sorts of people wanted their hands on the rare gun or were somehow tied to it or its sister the Zodiac, which was crafted with astrological zodiac powers. The rest of Mingchao’s gang –- Benkate, a rare gun collector and Baskerville's past rival who hoped to make the Eto Gun her 100th find; Alternate, who mistook Mingchao as his father’s murderer; Fino, an Indian girl entrusted with the Zodiac who lost her parents to the same man who actually killed Alternate’s father; and Fino’s younger brother Yaghi -- found her and Baskerville through those ties and banded together with their own agendas against the Syndicate, a powerful crime organization with access to the latest technology. The Syndicate particularly wants Minchao and Fino’s Eto Gun and Zodiac to help them overrun all established authorities and rule the world, greatly financing their endeavors selling their trademark narcotic drug.

Mingchao and the gang were finally setting off for the Syndicate’s base on Bedaloe’s Island to take it down once and for all when Mingchao was separated from the gang. Bearded Ina, who works for The Syndicate and was believed to be her grandfather’s old friend, tricked her into getting locked in his shop’s basement. Where volume eight left off (and where I’m pulling Mingchao from her canon) Bearded Ina was going to turn her and the Eto Gun in to Cavanaugh, a vindictive high ranking official in the Syndicate whom Mingchao’s gang has been after since she showed up to steal both guns.

Mingchao is played by mistressofrobin for siebenrpg because it's as cracktastic as her canon. Yee-haw!
